UK politics: Post election drop in poll for Starmer as 52% say UK ‘moving in wrong direction’

More than half of people think Britain is “moving in the wrong direction”, according to a poll which shows a drop in favourability for Sir Keir Starmer and his Cabinet.

The poll by Ipsos, conducted between August 9-12, showed a post-General Election drop in the perception of the Prime Minister, as well as his deputy Angela Rayner and Chancellor Rachel Reeves.

Of those polled, 22% said that they think things in Britain are heading in the right direction, 52% in the wrong direction and 19% neither

It doesn't help that he's so boring does it, tax rises will come soon, instead of taking winter fuel payments off pensioners, why isnt he setting about reclaiming some of the dodgy PPE payments from the previous government, why is he branding half the country as thugs and the other half doing the same violence on banks etc just get ignored. He's definitely one rule for one and one for the other isn't he .
They should change their name, because they are not a labour party as it once was, this feels more like a dictatorship

Starmer is the last liberal progressive leader this country will have.

After his rule Britain would have had thirty three years of this ideological imposition and the destruction of its society, culture, national identity and sovereignty will be complete.

But the winds of change are brewing and people have had enough of this type of politics.

In the next five years Britains problems will become so acute that its people will dramatically turn to the right.

A paradigm shift is on the cards and maybe the metropolitan liberal left elites in London don’t see it, but they are yesterday’s men.

The authoritarian nature of this present government will have unintended consequences; for those who are actively supporting it in the media shame on you for doing this.
