I hope you enjoyed today's video. If there is a state, city or town you'd like us to do a video about let us know in the comment section.
If you enjoy these videos I would love to hear about it. These videos are made to help people who are thinking about relocating, looking for real estate, or just wanting to learn about the United States. We look at the best and worst cities, states, towns, and neighborhoods in the United States. But, most of the time focus on the negative side of locations. If you only want some happy positive information about a city, town or state, I would suggest looking up local mortgage and real estate companies or maybe the locations website. They are trying to sell you something so it will be nothing but sunshine and rainbows. They won't tell you about crime, poverty, bail bondsmen, or insurance you'll need because of natural disasters. I will. And I will try and make it entertaining.

You could probably do a top 10 mysterious places of Michigan period. Lake Michigan alone as a whole is known to be pretty strange and mysterious.

Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum sounds like a great name for a rock band

As this video began, I thought to myself that it would be great if Briggs mentioned the Skinwalker Ranch. Then he did. Very creepy.

My dad worked at a funeral home in the 50s/60s and he had to drive the bodies from where they died to the morgue/embalming room at the funeral home. We live in West Virginia and ever since I was a kid my friends would visit the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum for the ghost tours, but my dad has always REFUSED to let me go after the stuff he saw and the bodies he had to take back. He said "if anywhere in the world is haunted, it's that place."

You missed the fact that the Corral Castle was moved from where it was originally built. The truck drivers never saw the stones being loaded, he did it behind fences, and loaded them with in 5 to 10 minutes. It took even less time to unload the trucks.

Years ago we were visiting relatives in Montana. My aunt drove us up to a rocky area somewhere out of Whitehall, MT and she gave us all little hammers. There were a bunch of boulders that we banged on that sounded just like the ones you mentioned. Beautiful sounds of bells! I’ll never forget how cool that was. Maybe those boulders are scattered all over the USA as I thought the ones in Montana were the only ones but apparently not.

You should do a story on the Spiral Staircase at the Church in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

As a child growing up in California I was told by my father that the stone walls were built by Chinese laborers (indentured labor)) for the purpose of regulating the movement of cattle. These were the same Chinese that had been routinely used in mining and construction of the railroads in the area. Later, many of the walls were dismantled with the stone being crushed for use in road building.

I found a ringing rock in the 70's, in the middle of the Mojave Desert. It sounded just like an anvil when you hit it with a hammer. This rock was about 3ft in diameter, shape of a basketball, almost perfectly round, and someone had drilled a 1" hole in the rock, about 4" deep, and apparently dynamited the rock in HALF! Only half the rock was there. The other half was missing. I've been trying to find that rock recently, but not luck. Maybe someone took the other half.

The sunken trace off the Natchez Trace Parkway in Mississippi is the creepiest place I’ve ever been to. It’s a wide civil war trail with trees draped with Spanish moss hanging overhead.

I grew up in Homestead FL. and actually worked for a little over a year at Coral Castle between 1994 thru 1995. I always had to close the castle in the evening and make sure no one was still inside. I hated being there by myself. It was by far the creepiest job I've had. There was always a heavy feeling and a sense of being watched. The worst was were he slept. He slept in a tiny room at the top of the castle up some steep staircase. It of course was made of rocks as well as his bed and table. It was such a sad room. You felt sad being there. We didn't have guided tours just audio and a gift shop that had all sorts of cool stuff that I really enjoyed. I sometimes made my husband close the castle up with me as a newly wed. I just felt so creeped out and ran to get out of there as fast as I could when closing up for the night. If you get the chance go visit. You won't forget it.

Thank you for the friendly message at the end! This reminded me of some of my own favorite Nat'l. Parks: the sand dunes in New Mexico, and Missouri's Elephant Rock. It makes me want to get out and GO- which is quite a feat, if you knew how I am. Your enthusiasm is contagious!

The only place on this list that we have been to is the Ringing Rocks in PA. They really do ring and it's kind of an eerie place but very cool at the same time.

That factoid about the mastodon carving on the underwater henge in Michigan is just mindboggling.

I never imagined Sesame street had been going that long.
