To view Redhat content, register as a developer, then you too can run RHEL and see the licensed content. You get a number of 1 year licenses that can be reset with a new one, so you are not limited to only running a RHEL server for 1 year.

Why does this channel have such a big difference between the views and the subscriber count

This video makes no sense. Drivers are not generally portable, you have one code for Windows and another for Linux. If they have bug in Windows version, chances are Linux is not affected, or more likely there might be unrelated bugs in Linux drivers. FreeBSD, Android, ReactOS and TempleOS are not affected as well (because nobody installs CrowdStrike on them).

I'm glad I work for a small company that doesn't use these services. I tend to start my work day hours before anyone else, and being stuck for 4+ hours wouldn't have been great ... especially if it meant I'd have to extend my day later to compensate. If we had been hit, I probably would have been unable to connect to the VPN and then have to drive to the office, to discover that I still couldn't access anything.

My sister was affected, and just as she was about to give up, she tried rebooting and it fixed it. She works for a much larger company, they might still be trying to recover.

macOS has a long-term solution for this issue: an API call system extensions that run in user space. Other OSes need to implement similar solutions and avoid running third-party tools in the kernel whenever possible. This situation has clearly demonstrated that running such tools in the kernel is not a good idea.

Anyone can write a crappy app. or service for any computer that'll bring it down, of course.

Linux was not affected with that crowdstrike outage but there were other situations when thes brought down kinux servers. Crowdstrike has linux and windows versions of their software.
