The weave and sandwich thickness adding stiffness make sense. I'm considering a marine project using fiberglass and increased foam thickness to get the stiffness I need rather than using expensive carbon fiber. I'd also be interested in any load tests of vacuum infused fiber sandwiched foam with holes versus without if you've done them. And how a lower density, cheaper and lighter foam with holes filled with resin compares to a higher density foam without holes.

Thank you for the informative video. How stiff will a part that's 110mm long and 84mm wide and 0.4mm thick or 0.5mm thick be? will it be harder to bend as the size of the sheet is small?

How good is carbon fiber from fastener pull through? Im assuming really good because of its tensil strength making it hard for the hole to stretch?

Hi !!! I stop here in your channel because I need bend a 4mm carbon fiber sheet, I just need 45 degrees up bend , I am using this sheet to shape a motorcycle instruments bracket or mounting, any advice in how to bend this carbon fiber sheet, heating or just use a brute force, lol, thx in advance and be safe
