I lived in Oklahoma City during hurricane Katrina, and recall OKC landlords opened hundreds of vacant units to Katrina families for free for 6 months+, and surrounding counties donated literally everything those families needed to start over in Oklahoma. Employers offered jobs, kids enrolled in school. If Oklahoma was good at something, it was how to handle a crisis, even if not on their home turf.
I know there's a national housing and staffing crisis, but truly hope these neighboring states can help relocate/rebuild these cities, or reducate about the climate crisis to prevent more similar destruction.

Why live in Florida and sunk your money on the most expensive real estate to see it blown with the wind, it’s not the first time desastres like this one seems to be the norm unless you printing money, or laundry, hopefully the real estate market come to realized
it’s the reality that his one is not the last, as global warming continues more like this will come often and seems to be getting worse every year
