As a New York-born Asian-American living in Las Vegas for over 15 years, I can speak to the 'effect' it had on this city when we had a mass influx of Africans (Ethiopians in particular). First, it seemed that nearly half the Uber/Lyft drivers were Ethiopian. Next, many/most of these Ethiopian tax-drivers spent nearly ALL their free/waiting time at a local Starbucks that I used to frequent often. What used to be a quiet, peaceful, relaxing place to be, became loud, rowdy, uncourteous, inconsiderate, people literally yelling in a foreign language, nearly all of them smoke, so, smokey patios, cigarette butts all over the ground, and the WORST part of it was that, suddenly, every time I go to the restroom, someone has pee'd all over the toilet seat. I kid you not. YouTube, do NOT take this down, it's not racist, it's simply a recount of my EXPERIENCE, the way SO MANY Americans like me experience it. I suppose we're calling this an 'assimilation' problem/challenge... When my parents came to this country, they did it the RIGHT way, by the law. My father was a doctor, but came here with $50 to finish his internship... learned PERFECT English within a year, with NO Asian accent, while at the same time studying his RACKS OFF to pass the Medical Board Cert to practice as a doctor. And my parents, just like their friends/family who immigrated to America -- their PRIORITY was to assimilate, and that we don't dare bring shame to our family, or to Koreans as a race, in the public eye. They taught RESPECT for elders and authority, and the importance of EDUCATION (maybe too much, lol). It's about the VALUES that immigrants bring with them to this country. The onus should be on THEM to demonstrate that they are deserving of the golden opportunity to live in such a rich and generous country. I believe Trump may very well be the anti-Christ. But I also believe that times have changed, and America can no longer be the place where every distressed people of the world run to for... free food, housing, health care, plentiful jobs, legal protection, etc. We need to set HIGHER STANDARDS, and have SOME CONTROL over the process.

Even if Justin Timberlake pled guilty to a crime of DUI, he wouldn’t do jail time. It’s his first offense. However, it would permanently be on his record.
What he pled guilty to DWAI, is a summary offense ( not a criminal offense) comparable to a speeding ticket.

The whole pet fiasco is like missing children. We know the problem is trafficking. but we can't always prove it. In this case, of course, the lady and others with her can vouch for thim that they had this discussion, but they can't prove it. What is of interest is if there is a higher missing pet population in this city than in other cities. It would be an indicator that they are trying to score free meat.
