This program is already many years old. However, its starting to show real results. The range, and time aloft of the Stingray should be very impressive. It potentially has many types missions it could do.

US carrier wings have lost countless airplanes (and pilots) over the years due to running out of fuel. For naval aviators, this must feel like a miracle.

A naval attack drone needs to be MUCH faster than the Stingray tanker drone. But that is likely already in the works, just as the Air Force is furiously working on its one "Loyal Wingman" drones, both kamikaze and RTB types.

I wonder if they will create a mothership type system which would allow it to use suicide drones to attack naval and ground targets. If one held 2 to 3 dozen inside the hold which could be dropped and then sent out on mission with a AI system on board the carrier allowing the main AI to gain real world experience. Allowing the AI to grow after each mission instead of self destruction or termination due to target hit.

So another Boeing, would you trust it to get fuel to you on time?

seeing the war in ukraine the us military is over thinking it. use smaller cheaper drones hundreds of them with some pretty powerful explosives. for strike missions

Manned fighters will be obsolete in no time.

Is one of these fancy drones really more destructive than 1000 cheap small suicide drones? Perhaps yes, I just wonder. Perhaps they serve different situations.

sending in stingray on suicide mission is stupid. please research on its cost first. We have flying decoys for that mission.

Why doesn't the MQ-25 Stingray have solar cells on all top surfaces?

hanging weapons off of it will make it non-stealth

Big and expensive. Can it be taken out by a $100 garage drone package?

This is just a new target for high speed mini drones, these have to take off and land, some quad drones are flying ove 200 mph now from ten miles away! Good luck!

"Several years of testing with little progress" is total and complete BS. I have seen a few videos from this channel and it is obvious he has no clue what he is talking about and zero real world industry experience. I have over 40 years in the industry and worked on X-47B, MQ-25, B2, F22, Mars Exploration Rover, and many other and classified programs. The X-47B made huge progress and proved it could land and take of reliably from and aircraft carrier. It was a demonstration program and the only reason it did not continue is because the Navy needed a refueling system because F35s were way behind schedule and the Navy was using up airframes by using F18s as refueling systems with the Buddy Store system.

Stingray first flew in '19 and operational tests in no logic for your adverb of "finally".
