Apple iPod Classic

It’s 2024, and iPod Videos 5.5 are all the rage! With 256 GB (or more) of flash memory, larger batteries, and lots of new colors in faceplates and you have an iPod that people could only dream about 11 years ago! With CDs at yard sales going for 10 cents each there is plenty of music out there to rip and load up. Amazingly Apple still supports iTunes, and you can still buy movies and music to load up on your iPod directly from Apple.

Still have my 80gb iPod video. It still serves a purpose of my PS3 backup and whenever I wanna go through nostalgia :]. My first iPod too.

I think it's wonderful that Apple still make the iPod Classic, my mother bought one a few months ago, but she already has an iPhone 4 and iPod Nano second generation. I think she bought the iPod classic solely because it has so much storage space. For some, it'll be a sad sad day when Apple eventually discontinues the iPod Classic as they're sure to. I used to really really hate that click wheel, I still don't like it very much to this day.

I love the ipod classic, even though the screen is too small to watch videos. I love it because of its storage capacity. I can put everything i got on itunes on it and still have like 95GB of space left

I used to have one of these, but I upgraded to a touch. This was an awesome music player when i had it.

Still using my last gen iPod... 80gb black, it doesn't distract me from other things because its just a mp3 player and not a web browser/email/gaming device. Simple and easy

I still have mine...to bad the head phone jack does not work or the bottom connector for audio or video but on the positive side it works great as a portable hard drive and a clock ( no audio, I tried resetting it and all that did was delete all the stuff off it without fixing the audio problem ).

160gb is enough to store almost everyone's entire music library offline. I don't understand why everyone is saying that it's obsolete because people use their smartphones; smartphones, even ones with micro-SD cards, don't have this capacity. If you use streaming/cloud services, you need to have cellular service or wifi, have to buffer songs and have decreased sound quality. Many prefer to have a big hard drive to be able to throw everything on and listen for long periods of time without draining battery with other things you don't need.
