Love the dolly zoom at 13:08! Definitely wasn't expecting one (especially one that smooth) in a laptop review, but it looks neat!

I totally agree. I have come to point where I'm considering an upgrade and I've specifically been interested in the Asus G14/G16 versus the HP Omen Transcend 14. Can't wait for the Omen Transcend to arrive in the studio. Amazing review and I want to ask if you would be doing a review of the 16 inch version of the Asus Zephyrus line for 2024? Unlike the G14, the G16 for this year's Intel's Meteor Lake processesors. I'm curious to how significant the difference is when it comes to things like how much power is being drawn for it. I understand performance would likely be more but I think many viewers would want to know if the performance difference and overall experience is worth sacrificing the portability and what seems to be a dream come true of the G14 for this year.

Just got my 2024 G14, been using it for a day now - so happy I bought it!! I got a great deal too - I bought an excellent condition Open-Box one for a bit under $1.3k, and the laptop & charger themselves were untouched/like-new.

After purchasing the 2024 G14, I agree with everything you said except for your evaluation of the speakers. I agree that nothing is better than the Macbook, but the 2024 G14 speakers are quite full, bassy, clear, and immersive. Even the review on Linus Tech Tips gave the Macbook and the new G14 an equal evaluation on speakers. These are the BEST speakers I listened to on any Windows PC laptop. Calling them "tinny" was a strange evaluation, as they don't seem tinny to me at all...

I have made two purchases based off your in depth reviews. I am happy I made the purchases. This channel needs to grow.

😁Waiting for the review for the G16, Omen, Legion 7i and Yoga Pro 9i before pulling the trigger.

I'm much more interested in the 16 inch version. Any chance that's going to get a dedicated video in the near future?

8:50 "I think it makes sense to top out at the 4070 this year"

>4090 maintains the best performance out of the whole RTX 40 Mobile series right down to 80W
>proceeds to demonstrate worse performance than last year's 4060 version

Um... sure?

UK price 4070 still £2, 399.99 rubbish pricing

I’ve been waiting on your review of this! Thank you!

Any word on when your 2024 G14 4060/16GB vs 4070/32GB video will be out? I’m torn as the latter isn’t available yet in Australia and the former is on sale!

I love everything about this laptop. Mostly the design. I never liked gaming laptop designs, the sharp edges and obsession with rgb lighting on the outside, they were clearly designed to stand out. The thickness and weight were also a secondary problem. I love the thinkness and weight of this and that you cant tell this is a gaming laptop unless you are a gamer. I also disabled the slash lighting and made a cover to hide it. The rog logo doesn't bug me because it very subtle

$400 for +16GB of memory is Apple level ripoff

Love the redesign. Just from a usability standpoint, two huge things are finally making me consider this laptop: 1. Moving the ports back so that they aren’t so far down the side of the chassis. 2. Removing the Ergo-lift hinge. I know some people liked it but as someone who actually uses their laptop on their lap around the house when doing light work on sofas, etc, this is a huge comfort thing. Most screens don’t go back 180 degrees anyway so I am not really going to be missing anything there either.

Im just waiting for next years Asus G14 Strix Halo: Threadripper power (16-core Zen 5) meets 4070M+ graphics (40CU-RDNA 3.5) in 1.5kg. sound like the perfect Laptop.

Hey Josh, your graphics score in time spy (9 121) is much lower than the ones obtained by another reviewer (EtaPrime) at 11 615, which beats last year's 4060 and Blade 14 scores in your graph.

Perhaps you have run the benchmarks in balance mode?

Were the gaming benchmarks also in Performance mode and not Turbo? Could be scoring lower because Asus didn’t tune the Performance mode well this year. But overall it seems nice, but the 2023 model seems preferable for better performance

Thanks for the review. Please make one for the 2024 G16 Zephyrus. Especially noise and heat would be interesting.

im studying to become an aerospace engineer, I need a portable laptop, with atleast 6 hours of battery life while doing school work, needs to be really strong, able to handle intense 3d modeling and physics simulations, and I'd like to play AAA games on the side while at home. I'm pretty sure this is the laptop for me, if anybody had any thoughts or suggestions I'd love to hear them.
