Why DELTARUNE Chapter 3 is Coming Sooner Than Planned

Toby Fox's latest newsletter has provided an update on when DELTARUNE Chapters 3, 4, and 5 are coming. Two of them are coming sooner than originally planned.

This video is primarily for the benefit of anyone who might not (for some reason) be subscribed to the DELTARUNE newsletter. Hopefully the joy of watching a man slowly (and literally) lose his grip on the picture he's drawing will make this worth your while.

In case you were wondering, Kotor drew Sans because that's the only Toby Fox character he can draw off the top of his head without looking at reference, and this was meant to just be a quick camera test, but he ended up getting stuck into it and just drew the whole picture.

Although hindsight reveals that Sans' shorts were forgotten. Why is he wearing jeans?! Bad artist, no food for you tonight! Now get back in your cage!

Minor addendum: 5 will not be the last chapter of the game. Toby has not directly spoken on how many chapters the game will have, but the ingame chapter select screen shows a minimum of 7 chapters.

Just remember guys, Deltarune Chapter 1 and 2 are already twice, possibly even three times bigger than Undertale was. This whole game is going to be MASSIVE.

Toby Fox had a dream of an ending that inspired deltarune, but he needed to prove to himself he could make the game, so he made undertale. I'm so curious what that ending is, what that dream was the whole time, the ending that inspired his entire life changing career.

I'm perfectly okay with waiting, regardless of whether one chapter is done or not.
With how well Chapters 1 & 2 were made, Deltarune is shaping up to be a pretty awesome game overall. I said this before, and I'll say it again. To the Deltarune dev team, take as much time as ya'll need because I'm sure that it'll be worth the wait! ❤

I think this had to happen tbh, one of the main concerns I had was in the community considering how big deltarune chapter 2 blew up at release, dropping so much content people were bound to miss things and I think it might be easier to appreciate with less chapter since every one is multiple hours long so yea I think it was for the best
