Self-preservation should be the only goal of every modern man. If you’re over 40, saving for retirement should be your primary concern. Trying to impress women is a pointless waste of time, money and valuable resources.

The ROI for the vast majority of potential female partners is negative. 95% of women expect men to pay for everything while dating, then pay for a fancy wedding, luxury honeymoon, then have kids which requires a bigger house, bigger and multiple cars, and decades of expenses feeding, clothing and entertaining a family. Then considering 50% of marriages end in divorce, 70% of those are initiated by women and the guy gets destroyed financially for the next 20 years afterwards if kids are involved. You end up losing potentially millions and being emotionally broken after wasting 10 to 25 years on a relationship that she throws away because it "doesn't excite her anymore". I agree that lots of men are motivated by women still but generally the most exceptional have a drive to succeed regardless; Bezos and Musk are great examples that I'm sure would have kept going regardless of relationships. If anything Bezos would now have more money because he wouldn't have been through the divorce.

A lot of guys in the comment section are missing a stunning point that is being made here.

He's saying that the current state of feminism is causing men to check out of SOCIETY, not just dating. This makes a lot of sense. It should be common knowledge that the driving factor for a man's ambition is to attract a good mate. Men create to further their own self worth, and the reason they put so much effort into creating that self worth isn't just for shits and giggles, it's so that they can land the dream girl(s).

Why should men, as a whole, spend the absolutely insane amount of energy and time attempting to improve society if there's not much incentive to do it (attraction of good women)?

This is a pretty insightful analyses, and comes at this from a completely new direction that I haven't ever considered. Advancements in societies, technology, knowledge are driven by mankind's desire to attract a mate. We all know this, it's either explicitly, or implicitly spoken of in nearly every Red Pill book you pick up.What happens when men no longer have a burning desire to attract a mate because the choices are of such poor quality? Haunting stuff, and unless something dramatic changes, Western society will collapse like the Roman Empire.

I never got married, don't have children because I wasn't willing to take the chance based on a 50% divorce rate. I work 2 days a week which covers my expenses, live across the street from the beach, do what I want when I want without being constantly nagged, paying for things and going to places I don't want to go and paying for it.
