I'm a recent hockey convert in the Tampa Bay area, and up until last year, as a dedicated Lightning fan, didn't pay much attention to other players on other teams. Then I saw Connor McDavid. I love my Lightning, Kucherov, Stamkos, Vasilevskiy, and others, and I'm still devoted to them, but no one wows me the way McDavid does. This play epitomizes why. Un-freekin-believable!!!

I have never really payed attention to the NHL, but my friends from Edmonton were really excited about their team going to the Stanley Cup finals. I decided to look up highlights from the Oilers last game. As a fan of sports in general, this is honestly one of the most amazing plays I've seen. I know so little about hockey compared to other sports, but this play alone already made me a fan of McDavid and the sport. The amount of athleticism, coordination, and skill McDavid unleashed was truly amazing.

Oilers earned it, and I'm a huge Stars fan who grew up in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Look, if a team can't kill any penalties in 2 games in a row, then they don't deserve to go to the finals.
