A model, a poker savant, an elite hacker, and a truth/justice seeker? Man, she just has it all.

A lot of people are confused but it seems simple to me. She wanted to solve the case and did. Sure, she's a bit weird/disturbed but she ultimately wanted to find out if they guy really was guilty. And she did, at the cost of her life I may add. Fair play to her.

Wouldn’t it be the opposite only the jury seeing it and the family being left outside the court room

"he looked sad so he must be innocent"
.... the fucking logic of some people lol

"I thought she was secretly the killer at first 'cause she's a weirdo". But no, she's the opposite; One of the coolest, mysterious, selfless and calculating main characters I've seen. She's so strange but extremely competent and bizarrely heroic.

What was the aim? The movie was I don't know

I thought for sure the girl who bought the video was going to be the actual killer and the guy was actually framed.

"That's what I love, seeing them lose everything." Kelly Anne was playing poker with Chevalier, Camille's family, Clementine and the authorities. Chevalier lost his claim to innocence, Camille's family was devastated by seeing the truth of their daughter's murder, the authorities looked inept by being gift wrapped hard evidence by a stranger, Clementine lost her belief in Chevalier's innocence. Even Kelly Anne lost her modeling career which was her real life version of going full tilt at the poker table when she cosplayed as Camille in the courtroom. Ultimately Kelly Anne won her jackpot by accomplishing her goal of everyone involved in her game losing everything, actually winning the Camille video and the added bonus of taking the selfie in Camille's bedroom. The game started with seeking out and buying access to real Red Rooms then turned into obsession once Chevalier was exposed and arrested. Kelly Anne felt personally attached to the case since she was there in essence from the beginning. A great film whose heart of darkness centered around a truly morally ambiguous central character in the beautiful, enigmatic Kelly Anne.

Sorry but that's just a bad review..for one she's not even part of the jury, for second she doesn't really care about Clementine, they weren't "inseparable", and as a third the plot of the movie is more about her treading the edge of her sanity because she feels a connection to the killer, hence her courtroom costume and her taking pictures of herself in the house of the victim at the end. So much lacking from the review it's like you didn't understand the movie. I get the comments saying the movie sucked because well your review sucked.

I think dressing as the girl was meant to reveal a reaction from the criminal.

6:18 At first she defends the uncovered school uniform with "could belong to anyone" and as the blood of the victim was found on it, it changed to "she might have been on her period", but then the defense would have mentioned where the blood was found.

i think kelly-anne is mentally disturbed. Sad we don't learn what happened to her after the solved case

Had an interesting build that led to...nothing. Was expecting either Kelly-Anne was the actual culprit, or being on the case develops a fe+ish for such content that leads to her getting involved w/ shady people and ironically abducted and in danger of the same red room treatment.
Instead it's...yeah, that guy did it, she solves the case on her own, the end... In reality, the government would've outbid everyone for it, traced the source of the seller, then arrest him and recoup the money they spent.

I love how people are so trained to expect a twist that they claim "nothing happened in this movie" and "it didn't go anywhere".

Just because there weren't any gimmicks doesn't mean nothing happened.

The true horror is things like this really are happening!!

I think in America the jury is not allowed to see any outside information like press or new facts because it would be considered "bias" and they either have a mistrial or they have to start over and pick a new jury

The sad and most horrifying thing is that this is a real thing and shit like this happens without anyone having a way to stop it and only try to catch people who may have some little amount of involvement trying to catch the main suspects.

I feel I just interpreted this movie differently? I felt early on that she had a personal connection to the case (abuse victim, knows someone who died this way etc) because she was incredibly hardened, angry, and threw away her career to solve this case. She appeared disgusted with clementine (the way she forced her to watch the videos) and never once smiled or expressed any “groupie”-ness at all. She was a very angry person (notice the many racket ball clips) and had a personal drive to solve this case (note her reaction to the bidding). The dressing up in court was to get him to look at her so she could see into his eyes (he stared down the whole time). She hated him wholeheartedly and wanted to see him burn. I thought it was super clear she wasn’t a serial killer groupie.

That Clementine character is the crystallization of serial killer fan culture, so particular to North America.

Kelly's character reminds me of Liz Salander.
