I bought a lifted Yukon a couple years ago, and while parking it the wheel started to come off. While it was way beyond my skill, I had an old school mechanic over to check it out. It was missing a cv axle on the wheel that tried self-deleting, both ball joints were blown, and the hub was completely disconnected with bearings puking out everywhere.

I thought it was a write-off, but my buddy Rick was like "give me $250 for parts, and 30 minutes to grab my tools and you'll be golden in 3 hours." Those old school mechanics are beasts.
