I've been a pitcher since the age of 10, long tossing is usually something I like doing before pitching, it gets my arm loose other wise I would be throwing meat to the other team, long tossing is also good for building up arm strength and if done right can help your velocity

You should all look up Trevor Bauers arm training history. He trained at Jaeger training. He trained responsibly and he long tosses to make his arm stronger and keep it loose. arguing this is like saying that swinging with a weighted bat is stupid. Push the body past the point it needs to perform at in order to have control over it when you need it.

This is awesome!
Long toss is an excellent way to build overall arm strength and of course loosen ur arm.Up and comers need to do it almost every day!
I used weighted baseballs as well to help strengthen my arm when I played.

Have you ever long tossed before throwing off a mound? It really loosens your shoulder, and when I've done it, 60 feet feels like nothing. It's like you're placing the ball in the catchers mitt. It won't blow out your arm if you do it right.

forget playing in the show, obviously not gonna happen, I just wish I could throw half as far as he can! imagine the assists he'd have if he were an outfielder

That makes no sense it's like saying Usain Bolt isn't allowed to warm up by slow jogging a lap around the track (4x the length of his event) to warm his legs up before a 100 meter sprint because his event is a sprint not a jog so it's a waste of time/effort.

This is great. I tell kids in my gym to long toss to develop arm strength for serving.
