Hey guys, welcome to our channel. In this video we are exploring the size of the tsunamis.
Tsunamis, often caused by underwater earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, or landslides, can reach immense heights, with waves sometimes exceeding 30 meters (98 feet) in coastal areas, such as during the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami and the 2011 Tohoku tsunami in Japan. As these waves travel from deep ocean to shallower coastal waters, their height increases dramatically, leading to devastating impacts on coastal communities. Effective prediction and mitigation efforts, including early warning systems and public education, are essential for reducing the catastrophic effects of tsunamis.
