Trigonometry Made Easy - How to Use Cosine and Sine to find Vector Components
Показать описание
This tutorial will make you proficient in finding components of vectors. Visualizing cosine (peels off the shadow cast by a vector on the adjacent side to a known angle) and sine (peels off the shadow cast by a vector on the opposite side) in a certain way can make you pretty fast with using cosine and sine. Using cosine is easy if you visualize it as a machine that finds the "shadow" of a hypotenuse on the side adjacent to a known angle. If you have a hypotenuse of length H tipped at an angle theta from the floor, then H cos theta is the length of its shadow on the floor if illuminated from above. Likewise H sin theta would be the shadow on the wall with side lighting. 1:50 Drills to work through as a class to get fast with using sine and cosine. Many students find this to be a faster and more vivid conceptual approach than SOHCAHTOA.
