Dude, back in 1999 I NEVER would have guessed that this band would ever grow to become such a larger-than-life musical band.
Well done!
RIP to all former members who’ve passed away.
Joey was an incredible drummer !

It's good that Slipknot realized that things at Roadrunner records has gone downhill and that they need a fresh new start. a horror film with Slipknot that sounds awesome I'd watch that. I wish nothing but the best for Slipknot they will come back before we even expect it

Wow, I remember when Roadrunner was THE metal label to be signed to. Slipknot, Megadeth, Machine Head, Killswitch Engage, Opeth, Dragonforce, Hatebreed, King Diamond, Korn, Nickleback (don't have to like em, just note they are a huge band.) Now when Slipknot goes, it's just Gojira, Trivium and Coheed and Cambria left. I had no idea they had declined THIS MUCH.

A concept album with a movie tied around a album would be badass

The end, so far is coming out tonight and I’m so exited!!!

That’s honestly a great point when Corey said it’ll be better to release an album when everyone feels like “it’s time for a new slipknot album”. I remember when .5 the gray chapter was coming out and how much of a big deal that was because it was quite some time since All Hope is Gone came out before that.

Roadrunner really is a shadow of what they once were. Fear Factory, Soulfly, Killswitch Engage, they’ve all left. I honestly thought Slipknot would go to Nuclear Blast as many bands have. But going independent I fell is the absolute best route. I could definitely see them signing bands to their own label.

I use to remember Roadrunner have lots of my favorite bands from Machine Head, Fear Factory, Brujeria, Soulfly, then Slipknot all the way to the Metalcore era bands like Trivium but yeah all things must come to an end.

I think this is going to open a lot of doors BECAUSE they are not beholden to Roadrunner.
They are all so creative that the future absolutely looks great!

When road runner first arrived they were the label that signed death metal bands and other extreme underground music, they were the ones who signed deicide ( best death metal band from the original Florida death metal bands )
Although I love corpse, obituary, massacre etc etc, for me legion was the album that changed the face of death metal, it showed people ( other like minded musicians) that death metal wasn't just fast or slow heavy metal with minor scale chords ringing out, it could be, technically amazing, it had complicated arrangements, it created a feel as well as a musically fearsome terrifying new type of song, Steve ashiem wrote way more of the deicide songs than people know, legion was at least 50% written by Steve, guitars, and drums .

I think a good way to start their new journey is to release Look outside your window next year in 2023 around holloween. Then in 2024-2025 they should announce the first non road runner slipknot album that’s going back to slipknots old roots and release it the next year.

Corey was in his wife's Cherry Bombs production and that turned out great. I'd love a slipknot concept in the same vein

When it comes to firing people, Corey Taylor is not one to talk.

After Joey Jordaison was fired through an email, instead of the other members of the band and management setting down with him and explaining what the problem was" I lost respect for slipknot.

I still love their music and creativity, and it might had been more to do with roadrunner records rather than other members of the band. It's good to hear that they are doing okay, and planning on doing their own thing away from road runner records.

Even with Roadrunner losing it's biggest band, their roster still has Gojira, Coheed and Cambria, Trivium, Motionless in White, Fever 333, and Turnstile just to name a few. I think the label will be fine in this new era.
And if by chance the bands I mentioned leave the label, then let the artists be.
