When I moved to Tennessee from California before people realized it wasn’t good you could drive and walk down some very wealthy places in Tennessee, It won’t be long before they start placing gating communities.

2. When someone waves to you in the neighborhood, it likely means that nothing is wrong and they are just saying hello.

Everything they hate about California, they've brought with them. Nashville used to have a "hometown" feel. It was charming. Now houses have quadrupled in prices, downtown smells like piss because the homeless community has quadrupled as well, the roads are torn up and covered in pot holes, traffic is horrible. These are the same reasons Californians left their state only to make Nashville unlivable for it's natives. Most people who are from Nashville can no longer afford to live there so we're pushed out of the city limits, having to drive over an hour to and from work each day. Mind you Nashville doesn't pay what California does so, the cost of living has risen but the wages are the same. It's sad what has happened to my city and I know it'll never go back to how it was. Thanks for turning Nashville into everything you hated about California 😔.

I've lived in the Nashville area my whole life, I've driven a semi all over the state of California, yes California is beautiful and yes Tennessee is beautiful but here in Tennessee we like small government so if y'all are moving here from California remember why you are moving here, this is a red state so let's keep it that way, it's not" this is how we do it in California" it's "this is how we do it in Tennessee" don't try and make Tennessee California it ain't never gonna happen.

I'm sure Miguel will be welcomed in Nashville. Tennessee is very welcoming to people of different skin colors and cultures.

Nashville will turn into California too just like Austin. I considered Austin back in 2012 and am very glad I didnt move there. Instead, I looked where everyone WILL eventually start and have very slowly started discovering...the Gulf Coast. I bought a brand new townhouse (3b, 2.5ba, 2 car garage, 1700sq ft) in 2018 for $175K. I wanted to get away from all the major city BS and I feel like I really made a good long term move. I truly feel like I looked 50 years into the future, as things are definitely growing here but at a much more manageable pace. Thankfully, the majority of the country is still scared of deep southern states outside of major metro areas like Nashville, Atlanta, Charlotte or Orlando.
