As I watched this I thought: It would be nice (given the limited number of maps currently in rotation) if someone could break down the best places to go for each tank class on the current maps. Most maps tend to be very conducive for some tank classes and terrible for others (IMO). In the example of Arctic Region, light tanks have several good options, but super heavies (or really slow heavies), especially from this spawn, cant do anything (at least I can't). Other examples are TD positions for the Southern spawn on Port, Arty positions for Himmeldorf, LT positions when your entire team goes to the hill on Prokorovka, what to do from the Southern spawn on Mines in any tank, etc. There are plenty of vids like this for PC, but they don;t always translate to console. Just a thought. Great vid!

As a light tank player I try to spot first and foremost. Allowing my team to know where the enemy is headed is the most important thing to me, I DO NOT try to fight the enemies lights at the start, let your team handle them if they choose to do something stupid. They wish to yollo you, fall back. Keep your tank in the game, your vision is very important, mobility at the end of the match. You are the eye's of your team, stay in the game, allow your team to "see" what to shoot.

As someone who overtime made light tanks their second main type of tank to play, I truly hope other lights take note of this. Nothing worse than being one of the 2-3 light tanks, and immediately being the only one left standing within 60secs of the start of battle. Makes moving around much harder knowing I could face a 2-3 Vs me at any given time, also makes spotting much harder as you have to do it for everyone now.

Here's to hoping I see less YOLO, more spot n snipe to be a pain, then when they're down to just above half team, go and pick them apart one by one.

#1 key to light tanks: STAY ALIVE. As you said, light tanks are most effective at the end.
#2 at the beginning of the game, spotting isn't that important (outside of the light tank maps like Prokorovka and Malinovka). Your spotting is important in the mid and late game when your heavier guns need to know where to shoot. Everyone knows where the brawls will be--they don't need you (the light tank) to tell you. They need you to live long enough to tell them where to find the remaining tanks in the mid and late game.
#3 Wolf packing tanks at the beginning can be fun, but you better be well coordinated with your fellow lights. If not, you'll just yolo and die. See #1.

My only gripe here is that youre actually playing to passive as you reload. Your to afraid of getting lit up(specifically when youre reloading) but yeah basically the longer you survive the stronger the light tank becomes, it was a pretty good match. I think as the game went on you made the kne mistake and then carried the match back thats basically a how to to up your win rate right there

Tipsmeister! These sort of videos are vital because most players just drive around shooting stuff, not knowing that with a little skill and game awareness they can have much better games. So thank you for this and the other instrucables in your series.

just call it suiscouting. dont do it. just kinda spot a lil to try to get s general idea where enemy teams going to help team. then try to passive scout for a bit. then yes mid-late game the view range and speed can be very op

Thanks for the advice 👍. I have Amx 13 90 now and I can't wait for 105, it seems to be very good tank. I also grind american light tanks, beacuse they have fun derp gun on tier IX and X. But there I am only at tier VII now (T71 CMCD), so I have to still grind a lot.

Not played WW2 mode since CW been out on that. I would imagine though the new CW maps should be brilliant for light tanks. Especially if you take advantage of the view range issues

I get better games with the amazing Tier IX 13 90. Tier X 105 is average and your video displays all its weaknesses.
