New BEST Light Tank in World of Tanks?!?

The Rheinmetall Panzerwagen was massively buffed in World of Tanks update 1.20 so is it now actually playable or even THE BEST?!?

I really like the Oyster Bay map because there is so many pockets to advance from cover to cover while also being able to get shots across. Most players will actually go play actively because they have a sense of security.

Oyster Bay is 1.3x1.3km. However, because a lot of the map is water, the gameplay area isn't much bigger than many other maps. Loved it so far though. Also, I wonder if dynamic water will come to it, would seem to make sense for that map

That commander bug is super weird. The commander will change to whatever nationally you accidentally click to just as you die. It went to the generic German commander because you clicked to the yagdtiger .

I'd say the Rhm. Pzw. is now at a perfect spot with it's unique niche. I loved it even before the buffs, but now I can influence the outcome of a match. Well done WG! Awesome Vid QB!

As a lt with good gun etc you have an advantage on Bad scouting maps. Which are felt like 7 of 10 matches. Theres nothing more painful then ending up in hamster-maze number 17 in your manticore. So i tried playing more Chinese lts and now i Kind of like it. Like the idea of a competitive rhmpw

I'm glad that they buffed the flipwagon. My light tank playstyle is more about area control and harassment so my playstyle would fits tanks like Manticore and Flipwagon more. Now with the buffs I'm going to finally climb the tree (has been sitting on VK 28 for a long time since I actually quite like the tank) and finally own all high tier light tanks from all countries.

Sadly I guess that's all I could get since I don't think we would see any new tech tree light tanks appearing anymore, LTs are pretty much done (countries that have potential tech tree like Romania don't have enough LTs concepts while for cars seems like WG is going to make Brits cars as medium cars)

If only they would buff the shell velocity on the SPIC and HWK12 from 630ms to something faster like 1000ms or just match it up with the HWK30

I haven’t played my RU251 since they changed the german tech tree and it didn’t lead to the Leopard PTA anymore.
I guess it‘s time for grinding again 😁

I used to love the ru 251 and so got the rhm and even though it wasn't too good of a tank I still loved it so seeing that they buffed it as well as a bunch of other tanks I have is amazing :)

I will go up and say this tank now it's kinda the battle light tank some people like to play.

Like a light tank it gets outclassed by other better light tanks, but as a battle light tank, it actually have a purpose now.

As to the issue of low round capacity vehicles, one viable solution would be to have a "reload on cap" or a "reload area" near the span spot feature. The rate of reloading could be tested.

Personally I am quite fond of my HWK12. Most people don't perform too well in it because it is difficult to contest other light tanks. The lackluster accuracy on the move is one of the main reasons why you often don't win in close quarters combat as it is easy to miss a shot. Although being able to achieve monstrous view range for tier VIII and light up mediums in bushes at 250-350m makes it worth it. I feel the dispersion buffs are welcome for the HWK12 but I still won't like to contest positions in CQC. The buffs to the SPIC and the Rhm. Pzw. on the other hand are fabulous. They are still not great scouts but at least you can roleplay a medium if the scouting doesn't work out. 😄

always like my rhm panzer since day1, hard to compete with t100lt and ebr105 but depression and the very good HE pen was good against them.and ironically it s my best wr in my t10 light tanks....

Aside from everything else they screwed up WG did an amazing job on Oyster bay, very fun map with plenty of scout and TD nests and hi brawling spots for those who like to duel.
