Photoshop Basics - Blending Brushstrokes

There are many really excellent programs these days to paint within but with the amount of time I wind up spending in Photoshop it's worth knowing some ways to blend your brushwork, whether it's for a painting, illustration, or smudging out that one family member you don't want to see in the holiday photo.
