Like a previous reviewer, I am extremely grateful for this video. I had been trying to get hinge replacement for my kitchen cupboards and the existing ones were Hafele. I just could not get the matching size (and wasted a bit of money in trying). The ones that I got did NOT match up to the existing along came your video. BRILLIANT. I ordered the ones from Ebay as was in your link and they turned up yesterday. Perfect! An absolute match, easy to fit and the doors now close beautifully. I over-ordered too so that I would have some replacements for the future. Thus, I hope you get my thanks, because grateful I am. Thank you.

I was going to have soft close hinges fitted until the man installing the cupboards gave me some great advice. He asked if I knew about a totally free way to solve the problem that would avoid the time and cost of these devices. I said I didn't so he gave me the answer: stop slamming the doors! It was so funny I had to laugh because it made me question why people slam doors shut and then complain about the slamming noise. I've had normal hinges for 5 years and never had any slamming...because I just stopped slamming them :-D

We have these and also use those little sticky domed buffer pads to avoid any bangs on doors and drawers.

I like soft close doors. However you can just get some silicone tape and make a soft seal.

Will you be considering fitting soft close draws too ? for the kitchen draws, I was in my local DIY store yesterday, and they said it was £4 for a set to make the draws have a soft close.
