Показать описание
Welcome back to the channel!
*Want to WIN an RC Car for as little as $1/£1?*
So a couple months ago I did a poll and quite a few people voted for beginners guides and I have slowly been pushing beginner inspired videos out on the channel!
Today we talk about Lipo batteries and how to correctly operate, look after and store these somewhat volatile but incredibly powerful RC Batteries!
0:00 Intro
1:00 Purpose of this Lipo Guide
2:00 NIMH used to be the standard in RC
2:19 The NIMH vs LIPO Debate
2:20 Are Lipo batteries safe?
2:47 The End is near for NIMH
3:06 Pros and Cons of Lipo Batteries
4:21 Pros and Cons of NIMH Batteries
5:48 Voltage, Cell Counts and Capacity
6:47 Wait.. But my charger says 4.20v?
7:23 Back to Capacity
9:07 Discharge Rate or C Rating
9:37 How to measure Max Power Draw
10:26 But what about Burst Rating?
10:42 Which C Rating do i need?
12:12 Very High C Rating (80-100c) batteries are not required in most cases
12:58 Other Factors to consider
13:22 20-30c will be fine in most cases
13:33 How to Charge a lipo
15:41 Never Leave a Lipo Unattended
15:58 What about parallel charging?
16:51 Lipo Storage Charging
17:23 Physical Storage of batteries
What is the best C Rating to go for?
What capacity?
How do I charge a Lipo?
These are just some of the questions i have received in the past so doing a video like this made a lot of sense and hopefully it can help and assist people who are new to lithium polymer batteries
*Always charge at 1C for maximum safety for example: 2.2a for a 2200mah pack, 5.0a for a 5000mah pack & 5.5a for a 5500mah pack and so on*
So i hope you enjoyed the video and i hope we managed to cover some of the essentials and basics when it comes to the correct operation of lipo batteries.
See you again soon on the next one!
