thanks for the video and great info. Im just getting back into the hobby since back in the 80s and 90s things have changed. I just picked up the Team Associated Rival MT10 RTR and it came with the same charger and lipo as you have in the video. you also have it at 1a out of the 3 options. what the difference from 1a 2a 3a - should I avoid charging at 3a?

Good video and good tips for a old timer like myself who recently has finally gotten into the modern world of RC with a brushless motor and 2.4 radio the next step is to replace all my old nicads and nimh batteries with some Lipo packs.

Good video for the beginner nice work. But the 1st thing I would do is ditch the RTR charger for one that will monitor individual cell voltage while charging & always charge & store in a fire proof lipo bag.

good stuff rich. i would add always charge your batteries on a non flammable surface like a concrete floor, and always have a fire extinguisher nearby.

I wonder how well Reedy Lipo battery’s are? i purchased some of there Nimh such as 3000 mah wolfpack and 4200 and it did fit some of my Tamiya cars. Even my 1993 RC10T. And the 4200 didn’t last for many cycles.

I'm currently using a 20C pack for my GP's engine heater. It seems a little weak and I was wondering if people typically use a higher C count for these heaters.

well explained. it's not often that you hear a tutorial that's explained in a way so that those who are NOT already in the know understand. I have to admit, during all this researching I'm doing before getting into the hobby, all I can think of is the potential danger when using these batteries. We'll see how it goes once I get one.
