Impressed by this video actually - not often a manufacturer shows you how to fully service their products - instead they usually want to you just ditch it, and buy a new one; or they want you to take it to a specialist, to overhaul it for a lot of cash.

These how-to videos are great - they'd be even better if the specialised tools were listed out with part numbers.

Excellent vid, just used it as my yr old hub had failed, on dismantling the pawl springs had rusted through! Dissapointing that the hub didnt have better water protection & why not stainless steel springs, never had pawl spring failure like that in 25yrs of cycling, what's that saying about chains only being as strong as the weakest link.

Thanks to this video I serviced my Pro 4 hub instead of buying the new Pro 5. Saved $490.

He did not mention about putting the LLB bearing in first in the freehub. Easy mistake to put wrong way round.

I don't know why but the way he disassemble the hub while explaining how to do it is kinda relaxing.

Mission accomplished! I just converted my pro 4 from a QR axel to the bolt in type. Thanks so much for the help.

slightly different for the pro 4 microspline freehub, have to take the inner bearing out first then remove the sleeve, there's a circlip behind the outer bearing

Honestly, amazing breakdown so happy you guys have this. Just got a pair of 104’s and this is a big help! Do you have any recommendations for oils instead of grease? We all love loud hubs!!!!

Does the HTT182 fit for pressing in all the bearings, or is it a completely new tool for the Pro 4?

Just had an odd feeling my rear wheel wasn't spinning as smooth or as long as it used too. Decide to bite the bullet and have a go at this - which was a bit of a gulp moment, as I am not really a mechanic. Anyhow, took it steady and wheel is all back together and seems to be spinning fast and true like new again. Here's hoping I got it all right, but it feels good.

Brilliant construction - tough and simple, but still pretty light!
Just got Pro 4 hub set for my slope style full suspension bike😍

Who takes apart their wheel to service the hub? Press is great but will not work with the entire wheel. I've punched out and hammered the bearing in and the process is fairly straightforward with the proper Hope drifts. I think the grease they use is Mobilgrease XHP 222. Anyone know where to get that grease gun?

So, the flat side of the non-drive side seal should face the hub and the tapered side should face the end cap?
