Makes doing servicing fun with the amazing commentary 😂

I really like the ice tray organiser idea, I'd never thought of it before, its a great ghetto solution (and probably as good as any 'professional' solution) for keeping small parts together where you left them and at the same time minimising hydraulic fluid egress 👍

I'll trade you "use knitting needle protectors on your picks" to protect the tip if you drop it on the floor and so you don't accidentally stab yourself.

After reading some of the comments, bro!, this is one of those videos with regards to a bike that I have not done yet, pretty much everything else, rebuilding forks, BB removal and clean, derailleur fitment and adjustment, everything else even rebuilding wheels with spokes and hub and balancing etc ... but not this. Thanks man. You the best Froride'er. :))

Big thanks for this! I picked up a pair of used v4’s, your video helped me immensely with the decision to go with the used set and eventual cleaning and replacing of some small parts.

Love these brakes though, super super easy to service! Maybe only exception was getting those damn pistons out.

Thanks again for a great how-to!

I so wish I'd thought about the piston removal sequence before servicing my E4 brakes. It's really really important. Once one piston pops out you lose hydraulic pressure and you're left wondering how to remove the others. You definitely have to remove the pistons on the inside first - definitely.

I dismantled some Hope brakes that I inherited but weren't working. I cleaned them up, put new seals in (exactly as they were before), but now everything is together, the brake lever does not push any liquid through? Nothing leaves the reservoir, but the small hole is not blocked? Any idea what has gone wrong?

nice tutorial. hope brakes are made with such quality they are so nice to work on . A pleasure to keep working well. I Got some Hayes Dominions on my new bike . People keep telling how good they are, they may be just as good if not better. They are however very ugly and don't have the same presence on my bike as the hopes. I will give them 1 month to impress me otherwise the hopes will be moving in.

Btw. Hope does provide a bunch of useful files for printing 3D tools. Plus a little investigation on the internet will provide you also with the bore cap removal tool.

The golden eloxal Banjio Part at the end of the brake hose, is enough Color on my Saint brake caliper. Especially after the first few hours of use, when they start getting dirty by 🤣👌‼️
