This video actually made me feel a bit better about my lazy eye. I've always felt self conscious about it (luckily I wear glasses that hide it) because it looks weird and I have a grey scar on the left eye from surgery. I can also unfocus my eyes at will :)

I'm so glad that people are talking about things that they're uncomfortable talking about, because, also have a lazy eye (but its my left eye that's dominant) and i also have a squint (my left eye loooks with my right eye, but constantly a little bit to the right). I CAN BLUR MY VISION AS WELL! I use it as a sort of furrowing my eyebrows, ie I do it when I’m angry at someone and don’t want them to know.

That is a perfect summary of me, I can do most things you mentioned. Except for force my eyes in different directions. But if I look at something close enough, the left eye straightens out.

I had a birth defect too! An atrial septal defect is a hole in your heart. I was born with one and had surgery at 3 months old. I was the 'Christmas miracle' that year.
I never was special again.
