This video absolutely DOES NOT tell what most people want to know, HOW is DRAM accessed compared to SRAM. Access if performed by 1st signaling RAS low and expressing the 1st half of the addresses on the multiplexed address bus then signaling CAS low and expressing the 2nd half of the addresses on the multiplexed address bus. Having both RAS and CAS low confirms the access. Refresh is done by signaling RAS low and expressing the row to be refreshed on the multiplexed address bus. In a small computer like the C64, the MAB has 8 lines and therefore can express 16 bits so refreshing must be performed for all 256 rows.

hello..i know this video is old but i am trying to upgrade rm on my PC to an 8gb slot from 4gb making it 12 overall. i came across 2 8gb RAM modules on kingston site with 8gb and 16 gb "DRAM" each. which one should i pick as this is not mentioned or elaborated to make a choice about here in the video. thankyou.
