Below is a list of the 6 things to check before upgrading:
1. Windows 7 or 8.1 Activation Status
2. Online verification of windows activation by connecting to the internet at least once after activating Windows 7 or 8.1
3. Systems Requirements
a. Processor (1GHz or More)
b. RAM (1GB RAM for a 32-bit system or 2GB RAM for a 64-bit system
c. Hard drive space: 16GB for a 32-bit system or 20GB for a 64-bit system
d. Graphic Card DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver
e. Display 800x600
4. Create a recovery drive (Create your own recovery media) and back up
5. Check and record software keys
6. Check what edition of Windows 10 you will get after the upgrade
