🚀 Dynamic Ankle Rehab

Показать описание
I am trying to use these types of drills as a means of rehab as well as agility and speed training. You don’t really have to be an athlete to use these techniques and you don’t need to be in a specific sport in order to benefit from them.
I know that this type of training has always been associated with sports such as American football, football and others that require skills like that, but speed and agility is not the only goal here.
You can use these movements to build up the stability and proprioception of your ankles and also learn how to use your feet and coordinate them with the rest of your body. I know it sounds funny, but a lot of people who suffer from ankle injuries, like going over on the ankles or more serious injuries such as ligament strains and tears, these people usually have terrible proprioception and coordination.
So by utilising the ankle-foot complex in this way, you are really asking it to adapt to a variety of skills which are necessary for injury prevention, stability, mobility, ligament integrity, etc…
✅ The constant movement and change of direction is working every aspect of the ankle, as the joint is very mobile and has the ability to take a big strain and still perform optimally
✅ The acceleration (regardless of how quick you are, this is not a speed race) is very important, as it will teach your muscles to react to changes of tempo and will help you train the ability to be more dynamic
Overall, this type of training has many benefits and not just for the ankle, but I wanted to focus on it specifically.
