Would you vote for this president? Do you have any crazy substitute teacher stories?

Steven's an absolute riot! 😂😂 Would love to see "don't be a d***" as someone's campaign slogan.

Check out his interview where he talks about his real life experience as a kid, his mother is Chinese, his dad is Irish. They flew him to Ireland and straight into school that day, not that he could speak English! Also his Irish accent coming out is fun

My actual history teacher in middle and high school had some of that energy. In every class, he would pick the Chief and the Emperor, who would be grilled particularly hard (typically one for not paying attention and the other for having potential).

On top of that, he also loved "Sport" (questioning 2 people about recent lessons) and "Extreme sport" - questioning the entire class, which always happened right before the Olympics, so a 45-minute written test about last ~2 months of material.

Honestly, for how much I feared his class, he knew how to get us interested in history. And for how tough he was, he also was fair. If you weren't putting effort in, you absolutely were going to catch major flak though.

6:45 if the president was from a low income/medium class or farmer/rancher family we would have a fixed budget.

Someday we'll deserve a president Steven He! Or his dad. I think all the authority figures are his dad.

You actually pronounced his name more accurately (using to Chinese pinyin) than most people. Though I'm pretty sure on Youtube he just goes by the more "American" pronunciation ("he" as in the pronoun).

I had an advanced math teacher who would roast people. On the first day in his class, he said to be in advanced math, you had to be either naturally smart or a hard worker, so he had no idea what most of us were doing there. That pretty much set the tone.

Have you ever seen Girls und Panzer? It has a ton of historical references. And if you only want to watch the parts with the history, I'd recommend "The History Behind Girls und Panzer", which has multiple parts because that's how many historical references are in the show.

I had a substitute algebra teacher that was right handed, but his right hand was just a thumb and nub, and he still had better handwriting than me. He was pretty popular with the class and actually became the teacher’s assistant lol.

The worst I've ever had for a sub is one in high school who confusingly butchered my name. My real name is Leah. I'm used to getting called Leia when people mess it up. This one sub called me Lee. Everyone just sat in confused silence for a few seconds before I corrected her, and my last name is fairly early in the alphabet.

Lots of cultures have some version of this. Have you ever heard the Jewish joke "the fetus is not viable until it has graduated from business, medical, or law school?" ;) My father is a theoretical physicist - this is EXACTLY what math homework time was like in my house...
