Just a quick hello and update on what’s been happening with the rookie rockhounding channel and why I stopped posting videos. Spoiler* I’m still here, still filming, and still excited to share what I’ve been and will be up to in the future. Thanks so much for the kindness xx

Thanks for checking in, Jesse. It's good to hear you're doing well and that you haven't given up rockhounding or making videos. I noticed that you had lost weight before you said anything. You look good!

At first I was thinking to myself how this will be me soon as I kinda ghosted my own community for the last 18 months. Then you mentioned the ADHD. I completely understand the struggle. I was diagnosed with ADHD and possibly Autism towards the end of last year at the age of 35. It has been a relief in some ways because it explains so much, but at the same time it causes you to re-evaluate everything - why you do things, how you do things, where you've been placing priorities, etc.
We've missed you, and we'll be here when you get back, whenever that may be. Just don't push yourself too hard, do it when you're ready

We miss you and love you Jess. Most of all I want you to be happy and healthy. You are a very special, kind, amazing person and you deserve the best. My husband and oldest son have ADHD, I get it. It's not an excuse, you were explaining. You look great and Gucci girl has gotten so big! Please take care and do what makes you happy, truly. Thanks for giving us an update. Looking forward to more of your fantastic videos when you post them. ✌️🤠🤘

Oh my God honey you look fantastic! I was so worried about you this past year I just happened to watch the makers challenge with Theo and you and decided I needed to get in touch. I was thrilled to see that you had some more videos out I've missed you so much, and I'm glad you're doing so much better. Love you and welcome back!

Rook, glad to hear from you and glad to hear you are ok and coming back. Because you are such a nice and conscientious chap, your audience can pressure you to keep the videos coming. We are unaware of your day to day problems that we all have. I think I speak for many of us when I say we love you, we care about you immensely and we hope you will do what you need to do to sort things out. We all understand life and the curve balls it throws us and we will wait till the end of time for you to work on you, , because, like you said, if you aint right you are no good to us. If there is something we can do to help please dont hesitate to ask. Thanks for the update on you. We all miss you. Much love and respect from San Diego.

i'll be looking forward to your return when the time is rght. Your humor and enthusiasm is one of the things that got me going in lapidary after a botched back operation put me in a wheel chair and left me without my past enjoyments. I go rock hunting with you every time you are out and I'm in a better mood afterward. Do what you have to do to take care of yourself, my friend, and I'll see you when you are back on Youtube.

No explanation needed for what seems like you needed to go into hermit mode and heal and have some quiet progress and focusing in on YOU.
I think that’s wonderful. It’s the best kind of healing we can do.
No worries. You just do you and keep up the healing work. It’s so great! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🤓🤓🤓

Jesse, your channel was the inspiration that finally got me to start my own a little over a year ago. And when I started out, I was sure I would be one of those several-videos-a-week people. Then I realized that unless this medium is ALL you do for a living, trying to balance it with work and life and relationships is NOT easy. I had to quickly admit to myself that the best I could do right now is a video every so often, when I have the material and the creative urge is there. Heck, there are even some hunts lately where I didn't even take out the camera because I didn't want to be "Denis the Mineralist" that day, I just wanted to be some dude hunting rocks and listening to nature like the old days. And that is a perfectly acceptable place to be. Balance in life is important, and you are correct - unless you have yourself in tip top shape, what you produce for others won't be tip top either. We all sleep well knowing you're out there, somewhere, adopting all the rocks, even if we don't see you on the feed every week. You take care of what's important, Brother - we aren't going anywhere!

Hey, Jess
Joe from across the big pond here. I really wanted you to know that the memories and experiences you’ve shared with, “All of us” technically, helped get me through one and a half years of surgery recovery. Thanks, Jess! 🤟😎. #Rockon

There's no instruction manual to life. It's most certainly a roller coaster ride with many up and downs. We just do the best we can and cross our fingers things work. I wish you the best on your journey and as is apparent, we'll all be here when your ready. Thanx for the update. You look great and so does your beautiful puppy. Keep on doing you. Much ❤ from Texas.

Jesse, you are looking very handsome and healthy! No need to explain. Life happens to us all and it takes time to recover. So glad to hear that you are coping well, so you just do you. We’ll be here patiently and excitingly awaiting your next video. Your friend, Lizzy. 😊

I am new to your channel. I spent 5 years rv'ing and collecting rocks. I am just now 2 years home and started looking at my stones and wow do I have beauties. I hope I can learn from a man obviously an empath, who has a passion like me & my hubby. We are in our mid 70s so now we can take what we found and show their beauties. Been a rockhound since finding lovely rubies and sapphires in Cowee Valley NC in 1984 +.

Hey Jesse, good to see ya brother! I’m pretty darn sure we all understand that life happens. Priorities change from time to time, and what’s important to us is that you’re doing well. So when you post it, we will be there wherever and whenever. Just look after yourself first and don’t feel obligated like you have to do anything before you’ve truly ready. Much love from Canada. 🤘 rock on! Hope you’ve found some bonzer pieces mate!
