I learned from someone who did this often, if you are sifting fine dirt go slower and always into a bucket, slowly remove the water leaving things at the bottom just in case a few flakes fell in, with the larger stuff, go at a medium speed while also if it's your first time over a second bucket of water just in case. I have a feeling with how fast you were going and over the open water, you may have lost quite a bit without knowing. Everyone learns differently though, and congrats on what you did manage for your first time. My first time I found sharks teeth and gemstone fragments but no gold lol.

First off, normally if your using “paydirt” you’re not going to get your money worth which makes me believe that the company “seasoned” your bucket if you didn’t use someone who isn’t known in any community. Secondly, did you not have a kitchen mesh strainer and had to use a colander? I loved this video, but if you want to have a real representation of what the average consumer might get, then you’d need to have someone who would purchase it for you under there account and mail it to you. This would possibly eliminate any type of bias toward getting extra gold for being an “influencer.” Thanks, and like I said I loved the video. Also another thing that would’ve been a little easier than using tweezers to pick up each piece of gold would be to use a “snuffer bottle” which is basically a bottle to suck up gold with.
