Excellent advice, Leonie! Little enough joy in this world. I find the list of books to read in a year is a good challenge for me to force me to make time for it but if it's making you stress about not reading enough, then forget that. Read when/what you want. I hope you're doing well!

this was beautiful, i definitely agree that reading (or any hobbies, really) should definitely be something we *want* to do, rather than a 'should do', because the latter really sucks the joy out of doing something that brings us enjoyment in the first place. the message is definitely something i've been trying to internalize since the start of this year.
