Mustang GT vs Mustang Ecoboost | 0-60 MPH Test

Should you get the Ford Mustang GT or the Ford Mustang Ecoboost? Well, how important is acceleration to you? Certainly the V8 makes the GT faster, doesn't it? There's only one way to find out and that means we need to test them both, back to back. In this video I am going to be using the built in Track Apps to measure how long it takes each car to get from 0-60 MPH. The results may surprise you!

Well this proves it. Wearing a turtle neck will considerably reduce the potential of a 5.0. Great video though. I’d watch another mustang comparison if u did one thanku.

That was a great test. I'd love to have a Mustang but I don't want to pay for a GT. This shows that so much depends on knowing your car and how you drive.

Thanks for sharing that test. I have a 2020 Ecoboost Premium and never plan to test it for 0 to 60 or anything else, although I do enjoy putting it through it’s pony paces on winding back roads. I’d rather have the GT but I like my Eco, and it was just more practical in so many ways.

I recently purchased a new ecoboost mustang. I have been trying for best 0-60 times. Believe it or not I got a 4.7 O-60 time. The only mod I made was a speedform throttle controller. I had a 2020 challenger scat pack that was hard to get a 5 second 0-60

You should compare the 2020 EcoBoost HPP to the GT. They are very close. The HPP does 0-60 in 4.5 and 155 mph compared to the 4.3 for the GT and 155 mph. own both so I'm not biased.

Every mustang is gonna be different from the next. I'm still learning mine and I've only had it for just under 2 months now and the best I've gotten so far is a 5.4 0-60 but it's capable of either 4.2-4.4 seconds for manual

I get around 4.7-4.9 seconds on my 0-60 with my 2020 Premium Ecoboost update I bought a 2022 Mustang Gt

Test drove the ecoboost and GT performance pack 2022, literally couldn’t tell or feel a difference while driving them, except for exhaust note from the Gt of course.

You should brake boost, you’ll get a better 0-60. In my friends EcoBoost premium non hhp he gets around 5.4-5.7

I know these cars did not get the best 0-60 times possible. The GT has the 6R80 in it (2015-2017) and trust me when I say, it was not good at putting down power efficiently. These are not the 2018+ models with the 10-speed. I promise you I did everything I could to get the best times. I understand they can do better on a prepped surface with better tires and a full service. I will be doing brand new Mach E’s soon so stay tuned for that!

I like how he was surprised that the V8 wasn't Fast, like for real V8 not faster than ecoboost 😅 til he did a couple runs then found out the True results on both cars Runs test, what a reaction 😂

The Mustang GT can do better. I have 2019 Mustang GT with TEN speed Stock I can do 0-60 At 3-99 seconds thank you from Sydney Australia

You should not be getting 6sec on a gt, unless you have a 2015-2017 mustang, I have a 2019 and get 4.5 0 to 60 consistently and my Tires spin a little

My 2016 gt best is 4.6 with wheel spin i Average about 4.7 or 4.8 usually with wheel spin
