Pizza Tower - Fake Peppino P Rank [Hitless]

preview_player
Показать описание

Getting any rank is acquired by getting enough points in the level. You can get either a D, C, B, A, or S Rank based on your performance at the end. Getting to B isn't too difficult if you're aiming for most of the collectibles in a level, but if you want to hit S rank you will have to pull up some leg work.

To get a P Rank in a level, it is expected that you do the following things within one run of any level:

Kill an enemy before leaving the first room
Get enough points for an S Rank
Find all toppins
Find all secrets
Get the secret treasure
Go through the Lap 2 portal
Never drop your combo once

My fear of being chased made me book it through out the entire finale. I didn’t see the monster ONCE. All I knew was that something was chasing me.

I love how peppino is constantly terrified but infinitely more wrathful

“Do Enter Not Inside”

What a concerning way to say “Get Out”

The irony of a clone living under the motto “nothing compares”

I think the choice of fake peppino’s taunt is perfect, it’s not only an unused peppino taunt, but one where he also pretends to be another character at the same time (sonic in this case)

I like to think fake Peppino makes his pizzas just a little bit off:
Not enough sauce
Too many mushrooms
Too much crust
Pepperoni under the sauce
It’s not enough to make you upset, it’s just…
Wrong

Imagine being Fake Peppino here.

You're a failed clone trying to cope with the fact you're never as good as the real deal, and when the man himself shows up and you're given a chance to show your talent, he beats your ass and proceeds to run away from you faster than you can blink

The first nerf was removing Fake peppino's rubberband that kept him on screen, allowing for mach running to actually be viable

Fun fact, the end chase for this boss has already been nerfed twice

I love how you don't even technically beat the boss. You just escape it as it chases you down.

What gets me about Fake Peppino is how much the game DOESN'T go into him. You don't defeat him, you run away from him and even when you do, he's still peeking from inside the door. He doesn't make any other appearances in the hub unlike the other bosses, he's hidden away in the intro, his icon for the chef task is just pure black, and we're just left with the assumption that he probably works at this barred up Bruno restaurant which has clones (oh yeah he has clones, just, as one does) lurking in every area along with trash bags with fucking body parts coming out of it.

0:35 I love how the music starts to go crazy when he starts to run around the room

That chase scene literally killed me instantly since I thought phase 2 was the final phase

Fun little detail: upon entering phase 2, both background signs become "deranged"

i love the fact that if you’re quick on attacking fake peppino the music syncs to his wall run

Previous bosses: various goofy characters with funny gimmicks
Fake Peppino: literally monster from The Thing who runs pizza parlor

this boss reminds me of the mob rats from mad rat dead in a way, with you being in a boxed space with a shit ton of things doing overwhelming patterns of the same move

poppino is actually kinda scary in his phase 2, it really gives off the vibe that you’re surrounded, that you’re really in danger

Of you listen closely to the soundtrack at @2:53, you can hear fake Peppino yell "*PEPPINO, COME BACK HERE. NOW!*". Just to garner how PISSED this character is.
