Everything’s getting more expensive - and F1 teams aren’t immune to that.

No... Not for Audi's sake... It's to level costs across countries, as you yourself just explained

As long as the allowance is fair it's worth it to end sauber's monopoly on p19 and p20. last place should be available equally to all teams not just one

It's absolutely fair, without this it will just become monopoly in the UK
Also please remove the cost cap for employment salary
Love how this video makes it look like this is unfair but in reality this just means UK teams won't give unfair advantage

By this logic, if wages in Italy are generally lower, then Ferrari should have a lower cost cap? It seems a bit arbitrary.

Im okay with anything to see Hulkenberg on the podium

So if a team from China entered would they get a lower cost cap? Or if 2 teams from the USA one in California, the other in Louisiana - would they get different cost caps?

I think it's fair to give entirely new teams certain allowances for their first season however since audi is taking over an existing team it shouldn't be the case. That notwithstanding this seems fair it would be better than the alternative being a UK monopoly.

Audi getting extra budget is complete understandable. If you have ever been to Switzerland you know how expensive it is and that is reflected in their salaries as well being a lot higher. It prevents a lot of people losing their jobs in Sauber due to the cost cap. Good move

How about the smaller teams. Like Williams, Haas and RB. It's a kick in the nuts for them.

Why are employee salaries even a part of the cost cap?

Shouldn't teams be allowed to give their workers the same amount as Audi without being effective by having a smaller cost cap. Seems a bit unfair.

All Audi does is cry to the fia just like what they did in the Dakar

I dont know why teams vote because the fia font care half of the stuff the fia do teams hate

Also in the UK due to inflation minimum wages have been going up so the cost cap boost is needed since they might change again soon with the economy being unstable rn

So inflation doubled the costs and yet wages haven't beat inflation in 50 years lol

A lot of people would lose their job, so the FIA actually did something ethical for once. Good for them!

Lol, I don’t believe F1 pushed something through when teams didn’t want it if it was good for the sport and/or brand. Must be something up. If so, Andretti would have an F1 team in the coming year or two.

So what we're saying right now is Sauber is fucked at the moment

Realistically, there should be no reason for the cost cap to be any higher than $50 million, F1 is filled with useless expenses

I guess this is fair. I wish they were as fair to other people who want to join the grid...
