In November 2019, F1 announces to have a net-zero carbon footprint by 2030...by March 2020, they have achieved a no-carbon footprint!

The reports coming out of Melbourne during the night were crazy. At one point before they confirmed the cancellation, I thought (or maybe was hoping) that we were going to get a 10 car race with Kubica driving the Alfa Romeo since Kimi had supposedly flown home.

4:43 RPFI: “Mercedes, can I copy your HW?”
Mercedes: “Sure just make it look different so it doesn’t look like you copied.”
RPFI: *Just repaints the car*

Genuinely, one of my biggest excitements first this season was to see how Racing Point would actually perform amongst the field. Not saying that I’m in full support of their design choices “PINK MERC HURRDURR”, but actually just to see how it would’ve all worked out for them.

What kind of stupid rules system is it where a team can ask the FIA for an entire year whether something is legal, be repeatedly told that it is, and then at the first race it gets protested and found illegal? They need to get some consistency.

I think if Redbull had have just offered Ricardio an extra $10M to stay, they would have beaten Ferrari anyway. Pocketing the $20M that they cost themselves by undervaluing Ricardio.

Team: “Can I do this?”
FIA: “No”
Team: “But what if I did this?”
FIA: “No
Team: “Ok then, how about I just...?”
FIA: “NO!
Team: “Fine, I’ll just do this then?”
FIA: “Yeah mate, whatever”
Team: “You mean I can actually do thi”
Other Team: “Yo bro, if Team does that I’m out.”
FIA: “Sorry Team, that’s banned now”
Team: “But you said... WTF man?”

I think most of this is all of the negative side of F1. Protests and stifling innovation is the antithesis of what this is supposed to be about.

I find the last point you make interesting, that is not allowed to share drawings or designs between teams. How does that work with redbull and torro rosso? I'll be grateful for anyone that can explain that to me :)
