On the Splintered Star, home of the Zeo Crystals: The Crystallian Kingdom was created to protect the raw crystals and gems from being used for evil. But the Yodonheim Army attacks from a neighboring planet. The princess, a sole survivor, takes the kingdom's treasured Zeo Power Gems to Earth and crosses paths with the Hexagon's newest research unit: Carat, led by Billy. Together they seek out 5 ordinary people and combine the powers of the Gems with advanced technology to become the newest team of Rangers to fight off the Yodonheim Army's invasion of Earth.

Opening 1: Rolling out the new team and their arsenal of zords: The VelociGem Megazord: Land and Air Modes and the combined form, as well as the REXpress Megazord which is a combination of the Gem Express Zord and the evil T-Wrecker Zord.

Red- Jonathan Kim: a comic illustrator who has a mysterious connection to the Zeo Gems and the Splintered Star.

Yellow- Deon Bell: a hardcore gamer who is a master marksman

Green- Serena Diaz: a track and field athlete for the Pan Global Games.

Blue- Liam Hunter: an up and coming actor always seeking out to master new challenges.

Pink- Sita Sharma: a doctor currently in residency, trying to balance out her career with her new Ranger life.
