I know this game didn't do very well at launch but I'm pretty confident with all the sales and word of mouth its probably did very well, I personally know people who wouldn't ever touch titanfall but a few weeks ago 2 of them bought it and convinced the others to give it a go, so I'm pretty sure it sales have done very well since launch week

I can definitely confirm that the playerbase has massively expanded as a result. Previously, there were about 1000-2500 players active at any one time, now I'm seeing numbers between 6000-12, 000 active.

so my question is if i have the game on origin and want to get it on steam, what about all the DLC's i bought and the unlocks that i got through my play through on origin? will i have to start all over from scratch?

While I still have to use Origin, I'm glad that the game and hopefully other games in the future will go with multiplatform releases. Because it sucks when publishers or shitty launcher don't even have stores set up in your countries or have unreasonable conversion rates, sometimes they only have paypal as a payment method or you need a cc and not everyone has one or its unpopular here. With this it hopefully means I can buy just about any game. I wouldn't mind downloading their launchers as long as i get to play them.

Now if only we can get the entire community to band together and push Respawn to give Titanfall 2 some modding support and steam workshop support to help future proof the game. The Source Engine mapping community in particular would be ALL over this game in no time flat with a bunch of high quality community made multiplayer maps.
