Honestly pacmans recovery has to be at least honorable mention. The side b go an insane distance, has super armor at points that have taken countless stocks, the down b stalls in the air, up air actually gives you a bit of height, and the trampoline is pretty crazy. You can edge guard him but he has crazy amount of mixups and doesn’t even need a double jump to recover from the bottom right or left corners

This my top 10 list:
10. Bowser Jr: A side b that has good horizontal distance and the ability to essentially get a 3rd jump when jumping out of side b. Combine this with an up b and you basically have inklings recovery.
9. Villager: Best recovery in the game but susceptable to ledge guarding.
8. Pac-man: Side b goes an insane distance and combine that with an up b and a down b that can stall.
7. Isabelle: I feel like her tether recovery makes it better than villagers.
6. Meta knight: Multi jumps and all special moves can be used to recover.
5. Zero suit samus: High jumps, tether recovery, basically a 3rd jump with her down b.
4. Rob: Able to stall and hover in midair, can use attacks out of up b, up b travels twice as far when spamming b.
3. King dedede: Multi jumps, projectiles, and an up b that can recover from the lower blast line.
2. Sonic: Decent air mobility, spin dash and spin charge can be used for horizontal distance if you still have your double jump (without a double jump, you wont be able to cancel spin dash and spin charge so you will just plummet to your death), can spinshot with spin dash and spin charge (look up how to do this i cant be bothered to explain it) and can even airdodge out of his up b for more horizontal distance.
1. Wario: arguably best air mobility for a heavy weight, bike that has insane horizontal distance, can change the height when you jump off the bike by angling the bike. (angling the bike forwards equals more speed and angling the bike backwards means a higher jump height when jumping off the bike). A fully charged waft which not only goes insanely high but will obliterate opponents trying to edge guard. And lastly, a corkscrew attack that can be angled left and right.

Here’s my analysis of Dedede’s recovery, one that I consider one of the best in the game: while his airspeed is slow, he makes up for it with tons of options for getting back to both the stage and ledge. Gordo can trip up unaware opponents that are sitting at the ledge waiting for a ledge guard opening, his forward air and up air are great sharking moves and can outrange almost all other aerials in the game, he’s got 5 jumps, and to top it off his up B has some of the strongest (non gimmick like belly armor) super armor in the game, only being competitively outclassed by things like warlock punch, and little mack’s smash attacks. While landing on stage with his up B is slow, you can cancel it to get up faster, but this does get rid of the massive hit box his landing attack provides. The stars the come out of his up B landing always shield poke if the other two hits connect, tripping up unprepared opponents. Not to mention you can get all the super armor and none of the landing issues if you just go low and shoot for the ledge, which with the massive height of his up B dedede has no trouble doing

This is late but my top 10
10. Peach/Daisy amazing horizontal distance and super hard to edgeguard but minimal vertical distance
9. Zelda lots of intangibility and long distance plus it kills at 67 (Zelda player) with bad DI and it’s frame 6 OOS, but laggy if shielded and easy to 2 frame
8. Sheik watch the video for reasons
7. Palutena the distance isn’t amazing but most characters other than the rats can’t edgeguard her and good tool in disadvantage
6. Sonic really good distance and doesn’t put you in helplessness
5. Pit amazing distance, but relatively easy to edgeguard with lingering hitboxes if he goes deep. If he doesn’t his side b has armor and is hard to edgeguard
4. Meta knight amazing distance and mix ups, but IMO he isn’t too hard to edgeguard
3 inkling amazing distance and gimping with it is hilarious but can be edgeguarded like pit’s
2. The rats they are different but I’m putting them in the same spot. Pika has a hitbox as pichu’s goes father but both are hard to edgeguard and almost impossible to gimp and can be used in disadvantage
1. Game and watch it had intangibility, amazing distance, can glide, doesn’t put you in helplessness, combos, and is tied for the fastest OOS option

how is g&w not on this he has
1. probably the safest recovery in the game
2. can stage spike and reverse edgeguard
3. gets great distance
4. impossible to react to
5. extremely hard to counter and just cant really be edgeguarded
not to hate on you just saying g&w should be on this list imo

More or less agree with this. Snake should probably be in honourable just because it's infinite despite being easy af to edge guard. But the rest I 100% agree.

Bayo's recovery has jump protection because of tap jumpers. They didn't want using up-b to suck away a jump accidentally.

What about Pichu? It has even more range than Pikachu but cant damage oponents. Its that the reason you not mentioning it?

I disagree, bayonetta's recovery is horrible and by far the worst in my opinion.

I agree that shiek's recovery is great, but I'm pretty sure her up b is one of the easiest to 2 frame on the ledge

You sleep on wiifit trainer. Everyone just ignores the fact that she is wholly invincible during her recovery while doing damage and can recover from the edge of the screen without even using a jump.

Not Puff? Not even in honorable mentions? she has pound, which can stall, and rollout as a threat, and with how floaty she is and with her 5000 jumps, she can have ridiculous versatility, and that's ignoring her airdodge and air speed
