Your mixer is an important component of your sound system. It's basically where all of your audio is routed. Ultimately, the sound quality your system will produce heavily weighs on your choice of mixer.

A live audio mixer is known as a mixing console or a soundboard. Audio mixers are an electronic device used to route or combine various audio signals to change the quality and levels of the signals and even change the timbre and dynamics of the sound. There are a few different types of audio mixers and the way in which they work, the layouts, and capabilities vary.

In this episode of Pro Acoustics Tech Talk, Mark is talking about the difference between analog and digital mixers, as well as powered mixers, line mixers, and microphone mixers.

Great information, I love my mackie / A&H mixers. But I do enjoy the routing options with my focusrite audio interface and have been looking into getting an A&H sq5 to link up with everything
