Analog normally sounds better but, unless both are the same volumes you cannot truly appreciate the difference. (Louder is not always better)

Match the gain on both clips so we can actually compare, everything sounds better louder

Nice drum pattern yo. That kick is knockin 💢💥💥

The second sample is louder so it's obviously going to sound different.

One is pure digital and the other is digital audio processed externally with the analogue equipment you listed at the beginning right?

Sound quality is important, and different and feel real and originally sounds tracks 🎉

Well, it kinda depends on what plugins you're using, right? Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's different stuff you could put on the master in digital to change it up a bunch. I'm talking about different types of compressors, maybe an EQ.

Excuse me... is analog naturally different or something?
It sounded more full definitely, but the volume change is too much of a switch up

if you lower your volume once when it drops, the difference is imperceptible

Sick beat. Can you make a video explaining your process with digital vs analog?

Man this makes me want to grab some real analog equipment, that just sounds much more lifelike and punches better through that compressor

Tbh the saturation on whatever you ran it through didn’t sound good enough to me to justify going out and back in.

Imo sounds more like "before and after eq the low end"

It’s like the wave is more wider analog an thinner digital 🤔

Is this just a a analog mixbus? If the whole mix went through analog?

U may have just opened up a another can of worms.

You're not really comparing the difference between analog and digital (few actually are).

Your signal reaches your converters and becomes an analog signal that drives your headphones and speakers, which produce soundwaves. Absolutely 0% of that procedure is digital.

At the same time, you are comparing digital renders of two different signals within the DAW, one that probably originated from a fully ITB bounce vs that same bounce but converted to analog and run through outboard before being reconverted to digital to be brought back ITB.

Regardless, both clips are still running externally to the converters and are BOTH analog at this point forward.

Considering the fact soundwaves aren't digital and 1s and 0s aren't audible, there really is no such thing as "digital audio" at all, if we're being meta about it. There is only a digital representation of the data contained within an analog source, and you will only ever hear the analog conversion of this digital information because, again, you cannot hear 1s and 0s.

So many people miss this very basic and fundamental difference in comparison as to render the entire point moot

Not too much difference. Why have all the big stuff to take up space if I can get it this close out of the box ... 😲

This can still be achieved by a digital compressor

You'll just have to mix differently
