I was hit with a redirect to a malsite that caused the virus to attempt to release its payload - in this case - ransomware, and got a warning about permanent file encryption in 30 seconds, so I had to close the browser, and restart the computer FAST.

Fortunately, after reboot - all of my files were okay after the attempted "malsite" attack.
