Is the GoPro Hero 7 White still garbage after 6 months? Well there have been a few price drops and a firmware update or two and this camera is now more in line with what was actually promised. I was able to find one at a local store for drastically less money so I decided it was time to check out this very divisive camera again.

I’m a late bloomer to the GoPro eco system. I’ve heard of them but never owned one until about a year ago when bought the Hero session and Hero7 Black.Videos Like this helps people like myself to distinguish the difference in models and features. Originally, I thought was just difference in color.. LoL.

i bought one and since its updated i absolutly love this thing. the non removable battery kinda sucks but not bad.

The image quality and dynamic range is incredibly beautiful, I couldn't care less about 4k. So many 4k cameras around the same price have such terrible images, much better less pixels with more quality in them.

Being able to crop the footage is a big advantage! 4:3 is better for filming with action cams so the object is still in frame when the camera is not directed perfectly.

is the silver any better? The Silver also got a firmware update correct? IT can do 16x9" 1080p correct? Can't afford the Black version...Thanks

At $120 new is it worth it today if you wanted a decent waterproof action cam with image stabilization? (as compared to sub $150 knockoffs with similar functions)

Wait... I have a new line of action camera's you could compare it in a another video its the Sjcam 8 air/plus/pro from xiaomi

I picked one up at Walmart for $120 on a Black Friday deal. The lack of a removable battery is a little irksome, but I'm only going to be using this camera as a second angle mounted to places like the bow of my fishing kayak, so not having to lean forward, unhook, and swap batteries is actually a little better for me. Plus, the all knowing internet says the battery lasts 3 hours, which is basically what I get out of my Hero 5 Black with 3 removable batteries. Basically a wash.

This won't be my go-to camera, so I think for the price (and with the 1080p 60fps update) it was worth the budget price.

Also, with it being almost an ounce lighter than my Hero 5 Black, wearing it on my head won't be quite as tiresome.

1440x1080p is still 1080p, while yes it’s a 4:3 aspect ratio they should have made it clear.

I’m looking to get my first GoPro. I am just a dad wanting to use for vacations and kids sports. Not a big camera guy but what is the best advice on buying my first GoPro. The main things I like is the replaceable lends and battery. Any help is appreciated
