Being new to the hobby, I just got myself both the Red Samurai 65% (used like new for $40) and GMK WoB (new sealed in box for $90). While they are just ABS and have average thickness, not to mention the molding marks on the back. I do find them to have very good quality legends and the sound is also unique. The sound is crispy unlike most PBTs and clones ABS out there. I also own Ai Fei clones, JTK and PBTfans. GMK is bar none my favourite keycaps due to colour, legends, feel, and sound.

I think that you bring up some really good points when it comes to GMK sets, I've been interested in the hobby since 2020 and still learned a lot from this video. But one think you should change is that when making a video with a different aspect ratio, you should really try to actually make it that aspect ratio instead of using black bars. Because when watching from an ultrawide monitor it just looks horrible, but it is a very common mistake. Great video again, hope to see more in the future!

I got gmk red samurai for around $90aud cause I thought it was reasonably priced and I thought it looked cool, and I also wanted to know what the hype was about when it came to GMK keycaps. I have to say, I don't really get why there are a lot of sets that are so ridiculously expensive that they are $150 or more, I feel like these keycaps should be priced around less than $100 dollars cause the difference between a brand like Akko or epbt vs GMK is not even that much.

I feel like as the pandemic eventually dies down and the manufacturing of keycaps becomes more efficient, maybe these keycaps will go down in price, but I feel like the normal pricing of some of these keycaps is not worth the amount of money you're paying. It's like designer shoes, where you buy these keycaps just for the sake of the name.

My take on GMK is it’s like the “designer” brand of keycaps. Is it worth the money? Probably not. Did I join GMK Rudy R2? Yes. If I’m spending 600+ on a build, I’m not gonna put PBT keycaps on. The legend clarity wins every time

I personally wouldn't buy a GMK because of the ABS plastic and the shipping time but it look so dope especially in that blue
