Tried the dead hang and lasted 2.31 min and stopped as my shoulders started to hurt. Did the squat for 2.05 min but didn’t do the deadlift as I have a rod and screws that support a crushed vertebrae from a fall off a roof. Tried the farmers walk with two 50 lb dumbbells the heaviest I have and lasted 2.25 min. I don’t run as I have some arthritis in my left hip so I try to avoid any impact exercises like running. I turned 77 two months ago and weigh 128 lbs.

It’s not parallel to the ground in the squat. It’s 90 degrees to the lower leg so it’s a little short of parallel. I’m 68 and did it twice inside of ten minutes so im not so sure about this test

Loved this guys energy! Some of these tests seem wicked hard, I could definitely not carry 105lb or 47.5kg in each hand (50% BW) for 2 min, let alone dead hang for 2min... meanwhile the deadlift is nothing, didn't even bother testing it (recently did 2 times bodyweight for 15 reps) and didn't notice the air squat hold. I would love to shake the hand of someone that can farmer carry that well.

56 years old.One arm deadlift 125 kg and one arm deadhang 90 secs.

Do I get any breaks on these times since I am 65 years old? I can only hang for about 1:10.

😮 I just did the Farmers’ Walk exercise - just yesterday! It is wicked hard. I needed 40kg dumbbells in each hand but they were so heavy I had to roll them across the gym floor to the base of the walking strip. Everybody was moderately bemused… . Still, I managed to carry them for 1 minute at which point my left hand opened and I had to stop. There is NO WAY I will be able to do this for 2 minutes ever. The reason I could do this at all is probably because I like rock-climbing, I guess that exercises grip strength… 😅

I'm an older lady with a large bosom that impedes me doing pressups. But I can do chin ups.

Are the exercises to be done in 1 session or is it irrelevant?

There is something wrong with the deadlift. Compared to all other tests that are very difficult, this one is ridiculously easy. I very much doubt you need to pass all these tests to ensure optimal longevity. Very few if any of the centenarians living today have ever been able to perform at this level. Conversely elite athletes have a life expectancy that is not significantly higher than people who exercise moderately, and in some cases it is actually lower because they essentially wear down their bodies by overexcercising. I do not know this Attia guy but based on this video, I would think he is somewhat of a quack.
