This is such important coverage, I’m so grateful you are doing the hard grind to get inside. The girls deserve public attention to this trial.

God love You Lauren! Sleeping bag 2 am, out of town/away from your family, sitting in court all day, the social and court dynamics of ‘who’s who in the zoo’, looking at horrific pictures of two murdered girls, taking detailed notes, drawing us diagrams, doing lunch lives and then doing 1+ hours of a post-day debrief. You are my hero and that darn diagram is a Picasso in my opinion. Please take care of yourself as always and be extra careful on this case about vicarious trauma. Much love from a huge fan, RN who has seen some ugly stuff and most importantly; the daughter of an art teacher (she would give this a solid A all things considered 😘)

I never realized how difficult covering this trial, besides the ridiculous logistics, learning the shocking facts which haven’t been made public. Thank you!

In 1968, my cousin and I lived in Indiana. I was 14, and she was 13. We'd get away from the adults, and sometimes we walked all day. We talked about boys, rock groups, and the music that played on my transistor radio. We were so close back then. I can't stop crying for those poor girls. Thank you for doing this, Lauren. It must be just awful.

Lauren, I saw your lunch live. I just wanted you to know that you're all (everyone who is watching this unfold in the courtroom) in my prayers. Being in the type of journalism you are cannot be easy. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences with us.

Thank you for honoring Abby and Libby with your coverage. 😔

It’s absolutely gross how difficult the court is making it for the public to get information. Thank you for putting yourself through this turmoil in order to get the info and being so forthcoming with difficult details. We’ve been waiting so long to get justice for the families. Take care and rest!

Wow! She's so smart to draw the pictures! I never would of thought to do this since cameras aren't allowed in the courtroom. Thank you!

All of these notes that you have taken are obviously the greatest thing that you have ever done, in your entire journalistic career. Keep it up!

Your coverage today has been remarkable. Very sensitively presented and very touching. The treatment of the public and media should be investigated. The judge is on a power trip.

I think you did a fantastic job on the drawings! It clarifies the scene for us. Thank you, it must have been a very horrific day.

Lauren I don't think anyone could have been able to describe it like you have. We are so grateful to you for like you describing Richard Allen rubbing his chin...we all more than anything i think want to see HIS reactions. As true crime observations go watching the reactions is such a big part of a trial.

Thank you Lauren for your complete attention to this trial, giving up sleep and sitting in the cold. 😊

Lauren, I watched/listened on 2x speed and felt like I was in the courtroom. Your notes and presentation covered everything I would’ve thought and asked had I been on the jury. Your dedication and time are invaluable and so appreciated. Thank you so very much. ❤️Lauren

This is such a good job. You didn't need to do the live at lunch. This is all we needed. It's so good of a job, thanks.
