Your step by step progressive circuit making in all of your projects is very nice and unique. Long back (about 20 years) i made 4060 based timer which served the purposes. But the only drawback is that it has no display to see the time remaining at any point of time. For that I made the arduino based timer.

Excellent instructions and perfect graphics! I’m trying to get a 4060 to work, and this is helpful.

May I offer a suggestion? Instead of saying “after that”, say “then”. I think it sounds more natural and relaxed. This is just my opinion though.

Making use of electrolytic capacitor at pin no. 9 of Ic may cause detoriation of frequency during elongated time span due to frequent charge discharge of capacitor. So this has to be decided if precise timings are required.
